Sure, there is a civil liability in the US but for this woman it's become a criminal matter.

The US military burns as much fuel each year as Portugal, but nobody is clamoring to get rid of this waste and expense.

String theory is not falsifiable, which makes it a lousy theory.

Heck, they could already have the new version developed and lobby the EPA to outlaw the old stuff. Regulatory capture is rampant in the US.

Sellers are the other side of the same coin.They do this for exactly the same reason people take drugs. Most people on the street selling don't make that much money and are in constant danger, have people knocking on their door 2am. It's a terrible job.

Where do turbines, solar panels, power lines, substations and the hordes of peopled needed to maintain them come from? Are they free? There is no such thing as 'free' electricity.

This always cracks me up when people say things like this. 1/3 the cost of electricity is the fuel, the rest is transmission. So if you generate it for free it's still going to cost 2/3 what it is now.

We have never seen cold fusion either....

30 years ago I worked at a chemical plant on 24 hr shifts driving forklifts around on the ice in the dark, rolling around 600# drums of acid, get treated for weird lesions on my legs from chemical exposure etc. etc. If there was a sign telling me to close my eyes and think about working in a Amazon warehouse, I would have done it.

I'm not talking about weather models but about economic,geopolitical and human migratory models combined with weather models. No freaking way.

That was my first thought too, that they are tricking larva into settling for a spot where they will die.

In the 2000 we had a running joke to append any subject with "there should be a website for that"!

I can type 'Italian restaurant Sydney' in google maps and get a much better result.
