Comment The Olympics? (Score 1) 245

If this idea is even slightly feasible, then the Olympics is not the starting grounds for it. Getting the countries of the world to agree on that? Non-prescription steroids are not even legal in a lot of countries. Let's try a small enhanced league in Amsterdam first.

Comment Implementation (Score 3, Informative) 429

Look at the comments on a random story here at Slashdot, and then look at the comments on a random story at CNN or Fox News or, if you dare, YouTube.

There is a right way to do comments and there is wrong way to do comments. In my mind, "moderation" is key. Slashdot has a well thought-out moderation system and the others have absolutely zero moderation, at best a "Like" button.

Forums with dedicated moderators often have excellent discussion/comments as well.

Comment Bovada (Score 2) 354

Bodog.com saw this coming from a mile away and switched their domain name to Bovada.lv in November 2011. Bodog.com was just a redirect site when it was seized and Bovada.lv is still up and running.

No telling how long it will take the US to get to Bovada.lv, but I wouldn't feel safe playing there. I think they had been trying to do something about Bodog for 5 years!
