Comment It's become good enough.. (Score 1) 488

Phones, with their current functionality, have reached the point where they are "pretty good". I use a Samsung S8Plus which I've just paid off. It's fast, big enough, an OLED screen, and has plenty of storage space. I'll be rooting it soon. Until I bought this I was never really satisfied with my phone. Always wondering when it will be really fast, or not run out of space, or have a clearer screen. The only reason to upgrade now might be the battery. But I can replace the phone for 150 with damage warranty. The next time I upgrade will probably be for 5G but that's the only reason I can think to do so.

What freedom is that? Between the military complex/corporations, the insurance corporations, the medical industry, the pharmaceutical industry, and the food corporations, we are all shelling out serious dollars that all flow up and out of sight. They have a perfect setup and we American's are the marks.

Actually we don't trust each other in the Western World, though I think I understand what you are saying that it's more likely we trust each other. But we have tons of oversight and "lesson's learned" laws and regulatuions in government and company culture. All because we don't trust people not to steal or do something unethical.

The S8 Plus was the first phone I've had since the note 3 that I felt was well worth the upgrade. Why? The OLED screen. It's simply beautiful and has low power consumption compared to the older phones. I have a folder full of downloaded GIFS and run an app that plays them randomly. My phone went from boring to pretty interesting overnight.

People and kids are obese because our food supply has become contaminated with huge amounts of sugar and carbs. A huge number of American's are now diabetic as a result. The drug, foods, and medical corporations are all in cahoots on this. That there is no outcry from the government is in my opinion, because the corps are running the show.. https://www.cdc.gov/media/rele...
