I'll mirror the rest of the comments and say this...

The world didn't start in 2000...

I've not bought any 3.5" disks since the early 90's. The ONLY time I actually needed to use one was for bios upgrades and some of the old drivers, but even then, it's probably been years since I needed to do that.

I think an interesting poll might be... When was the last time you used a 5 1/4, or even an 8" floppy. Virtually all of my college work are on 5 1/4" disks, and I don't even have a computer with a floppy drive.
