Here is you answer applied to the questions posed by the comment you replied to:

How does an Uber driver claim unemployment in NJ? - by enforcing the law.
I don't believe they ever get laid off. So, how does it work? - by enforcing the law.
If someone signs on to drive on a slow night can they claim they were unemployed for that night? - by enforcing the law.
Can they file a claim and get compensation? - by enforcing the law.

While I agree with you that Uber drivers are employees and Uber should pay UI, I am just baffled by your response to some very excellent questions.

Fahrenheit, Celsius, Kelvin and ALL the other units of measure that mankind has come up with are only known to exist on this tiny spec of real estate we call Earth. What happens when we meet an advanced civilization that uses base 42? Please keep in mind how much your insult is diminished in the context of you making it against the Country that launched the probe that was able to send back the data.

Not sure if I really get the depth of your insult against the country that launched a space vessel that is now 2 billion miles from earth and still sending back data. That seems the complete opposite of "intellectually backwards & mostly scientifically illiterate". Please feel free to move to another country since you seem to hate your own.

OSX and Windows have something other than the marketing dept. that is 'keeping poor old Linux' from being a common personal OS and that is teams and teams of people and 30+ years of a working on a desktop UI that continues to mature and change. Linux has how many different distributions with how many desktop UI's? So yeah the marketing dept. helps, but many because they work for the same company that has been perfecting their desktop UI for 30+ years.

We stopped using Google products for home a couple years ago and now as a company we are moving away from Gsuite for this very reason. Google is like a kid with ADHD. As soon as something shiny comes along they forget about their existing products that are tangentially close in purpose.

Is electric service sold differently in CA? Here in PA I pay per actual usage. If I use zero electric then my bill is zero. How does CA expect PG&E to compensate people for a metered service they didn't use. Maybe I can get local gas stations to compensate me for not using their fuel?

CA is fucking crazy.

I have been asking myself for a few years now how people can be so blind to the {add any high tech market} industry. With cell phones there is a yearly release of the new 'flagship' model, that is always just marginally better than the previous generation. Then literally within a month of the release we are seeing 'leaked' images of the next 'new and improved' model. Each years new model is more expensive than the last too.

This is not an apple problem alone, although they could fix their problem by dipping into their cash and truly coming up with a new phone that blind the people with its magic. Sadly for Apple that is not the case and they are trying to peddle a 1K phone to people that just bought a 1K phone from them within 2 years.

The vast majority is now seeing the shell game for what it is and speaking with their wallets.
