That's nice. Pointless, but nice.

You made a specific claim:

Skipping a pedestrian red light when you're young will increase the likelihood you'll skip a red one as a motorist later on

I claim that's not true. Now, prove your fact.

I have never heard of a study done that links jaywalking to red light running. You obviously have or you would not have made that claim. So, where can I read this study?

Not really, I'm taking the non stop surveillance society to it's logical conclusion.

Your government is raping half the world but you don't seem to care

Have we changed topics from automated surveillance to world politics? I must have missed the topic change, I'll go back and check.

however you are worried about being fined when littering

No, I'm worried about some insane view of society where you seem to think that I need a parental figure or big brother watching my every move to make sure I don't litter. The road to hell is paved with good intentions and you're volunteering to run the steamroller.

One person's utopia is another's dystopia.

I see your vision as the path to a sterile world. An automated society where everything is monitored for someone's vision of what the world should be like. All mistakes are punished and eventually you're deciding that people don't seem to be exercising enough, so you fine them for that. You don't like what they are wearing, so you fine them for that. You don't like what they said, so you fine them for that. It doesn't end, an automated society where the people are just cogs in the machine, nothing but slaves to IT.

I strongly suggest you call your society "Camazotz". At least then people will know what they've signed up for.

However, if I *did* see surveillance cameras around here, I'd just continue to go about my business as usual, because I'd be pretty sure nothing I was planning on doing is the sort of thing they're looking for, anyway

Thursday, December 6th, 2:45 pm, suspect failed to come to a complete stop before turning right. $125 ticket issued.

Thursday, December 6th, 2:50 pm, same suspect walked into crosswalk before light changed to green, $75 ticket issued.

Thursday, December 6th, 2:52pm, same suspect placed what appears to be household trash in corner trash receptacle, $55 ticket issued.

Hey, these things eventually have to pay for themselves.

Design is for the average user. The average user doesn't have a Thermaltake Xaser case, they have a HP, Compaq or Dell. They don't use Intel's wireless display outside of work and honestly they don't care about the charm bar. They also no longer need to regularly shut down the PC, it will hibernate for them.

For you: Desktop, Alt-F4. Or create a freaking shortcut, you're a power user, act like one.

Seriously, no one wants to hear that, you're not 4.

When called out on it, it turns into some sarcastic rant "OMG!! YOU WONT LET ME TAAALLKKK"

No one really wants to hear that either. Your point of view comes across like a whining toddler that is upset because the candy she has isn't her favorite flavor.

So stop acting like Humble Bundle just started WW3 and pay attention. Humble was started as an experiment in software distribution and charity, not as some fucking Linux/Mac crossover gang bang that you people have turned it into.

As in, some money still goes to charity, you still pay what you want. Even if the Red Cross isn't the best charity, Child's Play is, and $1 > $0.

Humble set up a system to let people get games cheap and help people in the process, what have you done to help the world this week?

(Hint, whining here about DRM counts as 0.)
