Before I reply to your comment, let me state, I have 360 and PS3 and have used the Wii at friends' houses.

>One of the major advantages that PSN has over Xbox is the fact that the online >play is free.

Actually, it's the ONLY advantage.

And you don't play games online a lot? So how can you really talk about PSN? Demon Souls is an excellent game.

>What would be better is if the online play remained free and Sony offered a >subscription model that allowed players access to game and movie rentals.

XBL gets that now through netflix, and coming soon to Sony. Are you talking about a specific Sony propietary movie rental? Game rentals how? digital distribution on game rentals is a far way off. You are better off going through Gamefly or some other outside company. You mention pounds, are you in England? Do they have video game rentals there?

Game makers would NEVER allow this. Renting a game for 5 pounds? LOL Surely you jest

>There are lots of games on PSN that I would play, but given that they cost about >£10, are non-refundable and may actually turn out to be crap, I can't justify the >risk.

That's why you, you know, read reviews, talk to people who have played it, research online about it, play a demo if available.

>The movie rental feature would be a great incentive, too. PSN offers a hell of a >lot of movies to rent, but given that you can actually BUY a physical copy for >less (Aliens: £3 on DVD; £6.99!!!! on PSN), it's not worth it.

You make it sound like PSN is designed just for movie rentals. It involves much more than that. Go on an XBL and you'll see how a better online experience works.

Your last point is an excellent one. It's the issue I have with digital download of games on XBL. They charge more for the downloaded material than if you went out and bought the physical copy!!! LOL So I can completely understand you gripe there and agree with you.

I was going to mod you and the previous poster higher but I HAD to respond.

This PISSES me off. I've owned every Madden since 06 on the Xbox360 and a few on the GameCube.

Year after year the manuals have been reduced to 4 page leaflets. My 04 Madden on the Gamecube came with a superb manual. It was excellent and showed they somewhat cared about making a polished game.

I can certainly understand the need to close say a 06 server, even an 07 and 08. But to close the 09? That's ridiculous.

You are correct it's all about money. I don't know the numbers but I guarentee Madden 10 sold less than 09. 09 was good, 10 less so. I despise EA and I will not buy another sports game from them. Sadly they have bought up other companies whose games I really enjoy. It just SICKENS me what they have done to this industry! The fact that there are no other football alternatives is pretty gross.

This is a direct message to EA I will never buy another sports game from you.

FIX THE MEMORY ISSUES!

I have 4 add ons for FireFox(latest version) in Win7. 4 tabs open for 30+ minutes and the memory usage skyrockets. After 2 hours Firefox gets very sluggish. The same for IE.

My pages load fast enough. FIX the damn memory issues. Stop adding features. Stop trying to make the app sexy.

Fix the real issues.

B5 WAS an excellent show.

I borrowed a co-workers VHS tapes to watch the show because at the time, I missed the first 2 seasons or so.

I was extremely hooked on the show. It's characters, the writing, the time arc - it was very well done. Some day I will own the whole show and rewatch it.

I wonder if it would be possibly to do a new show post B5, maybe set 100 years later or something.

I got laid off in 2002 specifically because I was vocal and did my best to try and make for a better work environment. The problem was that management was TOO political. The parent poster is 100% accurate. After that I learned, never to be vocal. Give simple opinions and never give negative feedback, or try not to do so.

I agree very much with your comment, couldn't have said it better myself.

We've all heard it before, school is not there to teach you facts per se, but it's there to help you learn how to THINK.

It seems we have severely lost our way with this regard, as any Junior/Senior intern I've worked with is TERRIBLE with thinking on their own, let along talka bout science.

I think we DO spend a lot of money on education we just spend it very poorly.
