Already done online.... no reason for it to be disrupted if people just follow simple instructions

Sure, but that assumes you get the letter from the Census Bureau with your OTP to fill out the questionnaire online.

But we know a lot of people aren't counted, or are undercounted, and the bureau sends people out in the field to count in areas and neighborhoods where people traditionally are undercounted.

The Census isn't a count of citizens. It's a count of people, whether they're citizens or not. (And we know that nobody has an agenda that would be served by undercounting certain classes of people, right?)

I'm pretty sure when I lived in the US for a couple of months I had to register with the municipality, just like here, so surely they should know.

Register with the municipality? Not sure what you're smoking. This isn't, e.g., Germany, where I'm told you have to do this within days of arrival. In my whole life I've never had to proactively register with the town or city that I moved to.

The state I live in now does require that the towns take an annual census, so eventually the town finds out about you. Also if I want to vote – and I do want to vote so... – I have to go to town hall (or someplace similar) to register to vote. So that's another way the municipality knows about you.

If one wants their children to attend the public schools, they have to provide proof that theyI live there. Often that's done with a utility bill, e.g. electric, water, or gas bill. Or some other proof of residency.

Which of those two things are you saying warrants jail time?

WRT to the oath, then indict, have a trial, and see if a jury will convict. That's a Sixth Amendment right, i.e. the source of "innocent until proven guilty."

Unless you don't believe in our Constitution. Which, if that's the case, that makes you a traitor.

If I were you, I'd wait for a conviction before claiming someone ought to be in jail. If you're not careful, someone might claim you ought to be in jail too.

Because governments and their regulatory bodies have done such a great job of making nuclear power safe.

I personally don't see what's wrong with getting more eyeballs on designs. Open Source software has shown the benefits of that. Now just apply it to everything else.

AFAICT, there's no reason nuclear power can't be reasonably safe.

Uh, okay, sure. Whatever floats your boat. I just watched 1917 in a theater and it was amazing. Even though I have a fairly large screen TV I really just can't imagine it being nearly as satisfying.

About $22 for my tickets for my wife and me, and another $20 for popcorn, beer, and wine, and it's a pretty cheap date. It's good to get out of the house. It doesn't hurt the there are three theaters within ten minutes of my house and I can usually head out the door about 15 min. before the movie starts and be there with time to buy popcorn.

I'm really looking forward to seeing No Time to Die in the theater. YMMV.
