It's normal, even in Canada I know no one listening to XM radio. I tried it when I had a new car, for like 6 months, multiple time, there's sports, politic talk radio, christian stuff, music targeted to specific "american" group of people, and that's it... even for free, I'd not listening to XM radio.

Android Auto is super useful for maps, and reading text like SMS. But having android auto or not changes nothing about listening to Spotify or aux in your car?!?

It was SW (short wave), not AM. In Europe SW was pretty cool in the 80s, you could listen to a lot of countries! Now SW is about dead. In USA thereM's only christian SW radio

Absolutely, why for 20 years I did 1h back and 1h forth in traffic jam to do 10 miles is beyond me. Since March 2020 I work from home, I even changed work 1 year ago, for a company 150 miles away. I went there 3 times in a year to take and setup some hardware, that's it. Flexible hours so instead of doing 8-5 (that was easily 7-6 with traffic) I now do 7-3, it's perfect.

True, years ago I launched HyperV, then selected to install Ubuntu18, there was an alrealy ready image to download from MS, already set and all.

In Linux I had problem with Teams in Firefox, so I installed Edge and Teams as a PWA. It works, but there is no notifications so you never know when someone is writing to you, meeting starting, etc... at least video/audio is working fine. But it takes ~5GB of RAM

I work for a company 2h away, started during covid. A few months ago they asked local people to come back to the office 50% of the time, 2 out of 12 people in the team quit, 2 put themselves "open to work" on linkedin. Forcing people to return to office does not work.

It's incredible to see USA so late on technologies. Not so long ago, you still needed to swipe and sign with a credit card, no chip. Don't talk about "tap to pay"... before COVID it was almost non-existent. Also in whole Canada for instance we can use "interac transfer" between every bank/credit union account using a simple email or phone number, free, 24h/day, and you have the fund instantaneously, for years.

I can tell you that in Canada, it's worst and worst since drugs are legal. There's more and more violence and gunshot than before.

Absolutely, they were pretty expensive. Fortunately, others companies started to offer miniPCs and some pretty powerful. I have one as my work PC, it's a tiny 4"x4" PC with an AMD 5600H. Now there is some fast one with 8c16t and powerful iGPU like some bee-link or minisforum, it's really impressive.

Really, a few weeks ago I didn't know what to watch, checked Netflix, Disney+, and for the first time since LOTR I checked Prime Video, wondered "yeah, why not start that" and it is a sublime serie, we binged the 5 seasons in like 3 weeks.

Even if the fee were low, 3rd party app will not have access to NSFW post, so about 1/3 of reddit would be unavailable to 3rd party users.
