If they would only just adopt Native Client like Google has, then we wouldn't have this terrible Javascript lock in. Let me use whatever language I like.
Why not? Plenty of C# developers around. Commercial support is available.
.NET != Windows any more. Mono is a robust, fast, and well supported system for the running on backend UNIX based servers. For example take a look at what the online gaming industry are using it for like Second Life.
Look at the popularity of C# on StackOverflow.

I can just see it now.... the first glimse inside one of china's ISPs... a single room, with a flashed WRT54G router in the middle of it.
Get a wireless "Battery Free" mouse. I have one of these http://www.a4tech.com/ennew/products.asp?cid=142&scid=92 and it's great. Cheaper than the Logitech I replaced it with, that needed a new battery once a day.
I agree with this. That is what I am doing now. I turned down management rolls so that I could still code. I have two other people in my team. I dish out the new techie stuff to the younger guy, who learns fast. The important stuff I give to the more experienced guy. And pick and choose the things I want to do.
yep, do what makes you happy. I refused a higher status in the company I work for, cos i like coding, and don't feel comfortable sitting at board meetings, and playing office politics. Instead they offered me a team leaders role, where I still code, but can hand out the boring stuff, or new fangled stuff to the younger guys who have a bit more enthusiasm for such things. Less money, but less stress.
+1 If you haven't seen it recently, then it's worth a look.
I agree with this. Easier to get a job with C# skills, and it's future is looking very strong, with mono, silverlight making ground.
