Comment Getting rid of another mistake (Score 1) 50

I remember they acquired the weather business when I was employed there. Back then it was to research Watson technologies, but I guess the supercomputer didn't make any significant discovery in climate world. I've always thought it was a mistake to get into the weather stuffs. Glad they're selling it now.

Most of the time you don't care about exact window sizes and positions and just want to see the windows that you need for your current task.

I'm quite strict about the position and size of all my windows, to allow adequate display of the content as well as the ability to see information on multiple windows at the same time.

Often that's just a single, maximized window. Sometimes it's two or three windows next to each other. It's incredibly rare that you need a dozen different overlapping windows.

Actually I always have a minimum of several windows open, having a dozen is quite often for me. Multitasking baby!!

When the card launched, my score was above 800 and my application declined. That was the most humiliating credit application I've ever submitted. Normally I'd apply for cards in person, stating that I won't accept any card below 20K... I believe Apple was only considering a card of about 5K and still declined.

I agree on this. Ban should be applied on individual stock tickers to avoid them making a move on a company that they have knowledge of. Allowing the portfolio on indices, derivatives, bonds should be okay. But for any of those allowed items, they cannot make a single move on things that they "talk" about in legislations, before/during/after the legislation is brought about. They cannot touch real estate if they're begin discussing legislations that concern real estate.

Introducing term limits makes the individual legislators less experienced and therefore more reliant on outsiders for help

I don't necessarily agree with this, respectfully
- Legislators can start their political career at local levels and be there for decades before electing for Congress. Making it an entire life political career
- And because experience is rectified, reliance on outside help argument is no longer relevant
- Some politicians spend their entire political career in Congress like Pelosi while knowing their own constituents in a one party district will always elect them back next term. They tend to do whatever they want.

Before becoming President, Biden was in the Senate roughly 180 years (his words, not mine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?...). We all know he's too senile to put two sentences together, but he got the victory anyway because his voters only cared that their party wins, they don't care how good a job he will do.

I definitely like your way of thinking. Doesn't matter if the fine is $500K if they gonna make a million bucks. the 110% of the capital gain is exactly the shit that makes it stick. Plus some jail time if the capital gain is above certain dollar amount, and don't forget automatic expulsion from office and permanent ban from future elections.

And what if they did a play for pay that earns 50%? They'd be happy to pay the 10% penalty and pocket 40%. They don't even have to buy it themselves, they have their grown children do it.

I have a feeling that despite all efforts and testing, the day they release the water to sea, million of marine lives end up dead, thousands of people get sick across SEAN and Japan is gonna pay tens of billions of dollars, and ASEAN government officials will take all that money, nothing will be paid to victims. I saw this with a Taiwanese company called Formosa who released factory waste water to sea, killed 100 tons of fishes, poisoned hundreds of victims and paid only $300M of fines, while no victims got paid. You now what the affected government said? The victims died already, who are we supposed to pay to?
