Deadspin was founded as a sports blog in 2005 and was originally part of Gawker Media, which was sued out of existence thanks to a lawsuit brought by Hulk Hogan (and funded by Peter Thiel).

FTLOG, not, it wasn't thanks to HH or Thiel. A bunch of assholes decided to publish a sex tape in order to make money. Nothing newsworthy happened, but Gawker thought they'd make a mint.

The subject of the tape took them to court for breach of privacy, and the TNZ wannabees lost.

They fucked up, and then they paid the price.

I have a 40V (Ryobi) battery push mower (and snowblower) and it's hands down the best mower I've ever used. Like half the weight of a two stroke, and all the maintenance of a cordless drill.

I have the 40v Ryobi mower, trimmer, and leaf blower. Those things just work.

My electric snow thrower experiment failed,. however. Not a Ryobi, an eGo. Poops out after maybe half of my front walk. And I won't even attempt the driveway with it. So, the gas powered Cub Cadet is still king with that task.

Rather than compete, they should band together and fix prices. Brilliant!

What's your definition of "messed up?" They've made billions off their purchase of Lucasfilm.

They haven't made billions yet. Adding up the worldwide BO revenues totals approximately $4.8B. Subtract from that the original purchase price of $4B and the production costs of ~$1B - Disney is still under the curve by about $200M.

I don't know if the production budget Box Office Mojo includes promotional/advertising costs. That $200M might be quite low. Regardless, Disney doesn't seem to have profited off of Star Wars just yet.

Looking at the picture, there's not much of a truck bed either.

It's like the designers looked at a Chevy Avalanche and decided that POS was worth copying.

I was looking forward to this as a replacement in a few years for my F-150. Hopefully Ford/Rivian or Atlis make a usable pickup with at least a 6.5ft bed. (With the tailgate down, I can easily load plywood sheets - I don't need an 8ft bed.)

Now that the "bombers" know about this requirement they'll just spend a little bit of their money to tank the movie.

You realize that makes no sense, right? The 'Review bombers' goal. presumably, is to make a movie fail to make money. So, you expect them to enhance the BO take in order to reduce the BO take?

Brilliant!
