Submission + - German Pool Storage Declared Unconstitutional
Renegade Lisp writes: The German Supreme Court (Bundesverfassungsgericht) has just ruled that the law on pool storage, in effect since 2008, is unconstitutional. The law required telecommunications providers to store connection data for all citizens for six months, including the whereabouts of every mobile phone call, and to make that data available to government authorities upon request.
