If Matrrix: Resurrections was meant to be a cash grab, they would have put effort into the script, have the actors enunciate their words properly so you know what they are saying, and add a plot and some kind of story. There were a lot of unresolved questions from the third Matrix movie the fourth could have addressed (or first if you dislike part two and three). Maybe, they could have pushed the envelope, technology wise. Matrix was a big deal for its time, so they could try to top earlier effects and do something new, different, and exciting. Instead, we have something that reeks of the director not really caring and not taking the film s/he makes seriously. More like the director is having fun, even if most are not in on the joke or really care for Wachowski's style of humor. The script seems more like personal ramblings in a journal and vague outlines and sketches than a comprehensive story. It's like you are taking a sketchpad or notebook and making a 'script' out of it while working out some bitterness at Matrix fans who keep gushing and badgering about it. Almost like Wachowski is saying, 'Hey, you want some more Matrix? Eat shit.' and that is exactly what is served. A hot steaming dogpile. It's amazing this 'film' got the green light at all.
