Large companies (and small I guess? I can't speak for those) that use Microsoft Teams also pretty much have an entire suite of Microsoft products as well for their users.

Who cares if you make a better MS Teams? Everyone already knows it's garbage, but it's what we have because Microsoft is just what the large corporations are going with.

Good luck getting them to replace what's already there.

I don't see this going anywhere.

An article about cheaters whining that they can't cheat anymore? That's not nerdy or geeky, that's sleezy, you can fuck off thank you very much.

Here's my take if you really want something to chew on. The relevant bit is they implemented a forced 2FA for the free version of their product. e.g. They have no idea how to fix their own shit and are trying to patch it by forcing you to identify yourself through your cellphone number if you use their product.

Nothing but fail all around in this story. At least the poor players don't have to deal with the cheating as much I suppose, but I mean, there's no lack of FPS games out there if it was really that bad.

The WHO is reliant on the data it receives. It doesn't have staff or any legal basis for doing its own investigations.

$4.84 billion over two years (2020-2021)* [https://www.kff.org/global-health-policy/fact-sheet/the-u-s-government-and-the-world-health-organization/]

Cmon... almost 5 billion dollars and they can't manage to do some investigations? Where's the money going then?

WHO lacks a clear grasp of its comparative advantage, including at country level, at times taking on what others might do better. Its core mandate and functions are so broadly formulated that the boundaries of operation become invisible. It is up to individual offices and programmes to decide what to take on [...] WHO is to a large extent driven by funding opportunities and is spread too thinly. It has too many priorities, everything being a priority. It is unable to terminate projects and therefore tends to become unfocused, reinventing and repackaging rather than concluding, learning and inventing.

Sounds like they're trying to do too much and actually causing more grief than anything. Sounds like they might need to reconsider their strategy and focus on stuff they're good at. Maybe the stuff they're actually doing *good right now*?

Anyways, stop fucking lying. The POTUS, the WHO, both made shitty decisions and this blame shifting needs to end. The world isn't black and white and it's not Us vs Them. But hey, nothing like some good outrage and finger pointing, amirite? Fucking hell.
