Comment Americans Repeat After Me (Score 1) 1034

I want my lawyer, NOW. - Say it out loud three times right now. Learn to say this if no matter what is going on, it forces law enforcement to provide us our rights. Never be afraid to speak up for yourself, especially these words. BTW This is sometimes preceded by, "Am I under arrest". If the answer is yes the next words out of your mouth should be "I want my lawyer". If the answer is no ask for your property and leave, they have no right to detain you.

It says you not only had $1,500 to plunk down to be part of the “explorer” program, but that Google deemed you special enough to warrant inclusion (not everyone who wanted Glass got it; you had to be selected)." You think this reaction is because people are all jelly about your glasses? REALLY??? YOU REALLY THINK THIS??? REALLLYYYY????? REAAAAALLLLLLLYYYYY???????? I am sorry my friend but you have lost touch with reality and I must help you back to ground. The reason people respond the way they do is because the second you look at them they are feeling like they are being spied on by you. Nevermind the fact that they are spied upon everyday by the government, the government keeps that out of their face. You however are pointing a camera at them and announcing it to the world. People don't like their photo taken without their permission, again nevermind that happens all day every day in public by security cams. Even if Google glasses became google contacts (which I am sure they will one day), if people know that you are wearing them, people are going to be uncomfortable around you.

OK from the little I understand about black holes. Time dilation increases as you get closer to the center of the black hole. As you get closer it will take you longer to get there. What is predicted to happen to timespace when two event horizons meet? The amount of gravity pulling on spacetime between the two is higher then man has ever witnessed but I'm sure some physicist has put some work into the idea. It is also an experiment that we are unable to create because we have yet to find a way to manipulate gravity in any significant way. Will we just end up with an even larger black hole? If so I bet that we have more understood about physics then we realize. Will a wormhole open up between the two or will we see a tear in the fabric of our space time, revealing a deeper dimension to our universe? I hope so because that means we have a whole lot more to learn about spacetime and gravity. This is such fun stuff to think about. We really need to point our best telescopes at this area and get it on tape.

Comment I have a potential solution to this problem. (Score 1) 365

There is another solution if this comes to fruition. Netflix and similar content providers horizontally integrate and start selling internet service. Another option would be for content providers to team up together (possibly with google). Include one or two content services (ie netflix, hulu) with the price of the service and get Aereo onboard and it would be a juggernaut.

Comment This is a terrible idea. (Score 1) 1216

America is about allowing one to rise to their highest potential. The problem is that we have a system that does not encourage individual as well as small to medium sized business growth. The dinosaurs we kept alive on life support were too big to survive, not too big to fail. Jobs and financial growth happens rapidly and in greater numbers with small to medium sized businesses. Give me 100 startups with growth of 20% or more a year for the next 10 years over one large company any day. Even with attrition being high in startups, they will bring more job growth then any one large company is able to. We require an environment where all sizes of business can grow, but the small to medium grow faster just like in nature. Besides It's easy to circumvent for a large number of industries. Replace people with machines, remove the lower rank and file, make more money.
