create a table formatted like you have in your xls file and create a simple webpage to view the data in real time. You could upload the xls file to start exactly where you guys are at now and even create and export to spreadsheet feature if you need it for reporting etc. Should only take 2-3 hours to set everything up the way you want it. My first thought was Sharepoint but that's also provided you have a Windows box to put it on and not just *.nix based servers.

Comment Is 6/10 a good score? (Score 1) 72

You give the book a 6/10 which to me is a derogatory score or at least one that tells me not to buy it, but then you put "Yet if you seek an engaging and highly visual introduction to an elegant programming language, then Head First Python can be a worthwhile place to start your journey. " Is this based on a person who needs to see a lot of pictures instead of reading and the going to the keyboard and working through the material? Also what books would you recommend? (If you have any) and why? I only ask because I've dabbled in python and am interested in learning more.

First thought: Who's the source on this? Everybody suspected it was the US or the Israelis, but is this reliable? I was thinking the same thing throughout the entire article. Especially since it is all spreading saying it is confirmed that the US is behind it. I was also wondering how the reporter got the exact quotes of Obama and Biden ....If this was so classified how is this person getting "Mr. Biden fumed. “It’s got to be the Israelis,” he said. “They went too far.” "

Why would they not try to compete? Red Hat wants government business. It is slowly taking over Windows servers with RHEL why would they not continue to push their desktops? The last thing they need when it comes up to a bid for contract is.....oh we can't really run on new hardware unless you do these extra steps. Most businesses want a computer that you can basically plug in and had it automatically setup and be ready to go. It sucks that things are going this way. I just worry that the money that's getting dumped into it is going to take away from development or somewhere else that it is actually needed.
