I don't believe Facebook came up with the "Friends" actually meaning "Acquaintances" (or even less than this) thing. That's a pretty common social network thing.

You're led to believe it today, but no. Marriage predates the church, and marriage rights and benefits, too.At least, last I checked, the ancient greeks, egyptians, assyrians, summerians etc were not Christian nor had a church.

Marriage is a pretty old thing, and yes it probably predates organized religion.

I don't know about you, but before Facebook, MySpace (and in some places, Orkut) were a thing. People move from social networks all the time, for one they consider "better" for whatever reasons they find. Facebook eventually will be dropped for something else, yes, and actually I have no means to predict when. This just seems to "happen" to me.

Extinction happens every day, for one reason or another. Some we caused, and that's right. but do you really think we're the only species to extinguish one, or two, or a hundred species? You'd be surprised.
