What would happen if an individual tried to send Disney a revised TOS for one of their services?
Eh, what is your point? Feel free to send Disney your revised TOS. They can either accept or reject it. Just like MegaUpload could do.
They weren't forcing MegaUpload to change anything, they were just pointing out the parts that would need to be changed in TOS if they were to use the service. Seems like standard business negotiations.
GOG didn't exist, even Steam had just started making third-party games available. There was no cheap and easy way to buy good games.
What the hell are you talking about? 2006? All of those sure existed. Hell, cheap games existed even in the 90's. Hint: Look at GOG's history!
Google has rejected the order, saying that its U.S. headquarters will not be regulated by Japanese law, and that the case, according its in-house privacy policy, does not warrant deleting autocomplete-suggested terms related to the petition, lawyer Hiroyuki Tomita said Sunday.
So why was Hong Kong based company MegaUpload regulated by U.S. laws? Exactly.
It's time to shut down Google.

Yes, but this isn't even explained in the article!
