Go back in history class kid. learn about what mistakes they have done. After you informed yourself of those situations, and done a simple task as to sit down, read and learn something about those companies. Ask yourself this : "Does it make sense for Shell (or any other company) to drill for oil in the artic when history showed lots of failure and almost non existent success ?" Does that make sense ? Be honest, does it ? Also, some other info, when you want to fix problems of this nature, you need infrastructure to accomodate the ships, personal and all the other crap that goes with it but guess, YOUR IN THE ARTIC... there's nothing there. Your not in the pacific where the nearest city is around you.. nope.

If that's being an asshole then you must be the biggest idiot out there. Let's face it, with no proper plan to fix a disaster like this, there no way nothing is logical about this drilling project. The only thing I see here is hope that nothing breaks and they should make billions while the people stay with fossil fuel. Sure electric car is not the perfect solution and I know in the US electric power plant are not popular (coal is popular :( ) but it's better that what we got today

Control what information you give to the public and you control the public in the end. Inform yourself about viable alternatives like electric cars. Theres lots of info and documentaries on that subject. The car industry did everything they can to shut it down and make sure it wouldn't work.

Want to repeat what happened with BP...be my guest...fucking idiot. no seriously. How much time did BP took to fix the problem...how much resource it took and what are the consequences to that ? Ask yourself these basic questions and you'll know why I'm so septic about this project. Accepting this project is idiot so I applaud your flawless logic as you defend Shell with this as they got almost nothing to prevent these types of situation as it wasn't tested as it should be done before this project gets accepted.

it's like Shell said "we got a plan to fix the oil spill" so the other guy says "Ok but does it work...was it tested". And the reply is "I don't know..it didn't happened yet."

Uhh, anyone remember the BP oil spill ? I guess no one can forget that. It's clear with that attempt to stop the oil spill, any organisation or company didn't know how to stop it. It's also clear that any spill can't be stopped right now so why in the hell can the US go dig there ? This is beyond stupidity if you ask me.

Comment Re:They deserve it. (Score 2) 237

They might deserve it but telling it's all of their fault is not true at all. I feel like the industry didn't ask important questions like "why is my product getting pirated ? " and "how can I stop piracy ?". Never in my life I never heard of any of these types of questions from these guys...ever. I don't think I ever will too since those same guys are just penalizing folks with millions of dollars (or Knonor ?). Nope, instead of putting ressource, time and money on the origin and source of the problem, they still continue to release and distribute products with the same "security" or "system" without any improvement. The only system i heard which is a debate in itself is DRM (I won't go in that lol)... but that's it, nothing else.

i can honestly say I pirate games and software to try it first if it's worth the money I spend. Unfortunately, I admit that most games and software I pirate are not worth it....mostly are crap in my opinion. I know it's general but most games are played between 8-20 hours alone, linear and the replay value is almost zero. In my book, that's not worth 60$....hell not even 20$. There was a time where gameplay, replay value and how you play your games with friends was on top of the todo list instead of the deadline. So today, I mostly buy my games on Steam (I wait for the weekend specials at 75% reduction)

So if the industry and company won't make the effort to "fix" this problem, why would I do it ? this is a game thats played bothways....if they want my money... seduce me ffs

So your the kind of guy that wants to order some guys or a corp around to force them to make sure your OS works ! Your the kind of guy that complains, bitch and screams at your IT, forum or whoever you can get a hold of and ask (order by threatening their family if you don't get help) for help ! Your the guy that cries that he lost millions in contract cause your email (free of charge by the ISP) doesn't work. yeah I know you...

Linux is not for the lazy....plain and simple. It's for people that when they have a problem, they can use their brain cells, observe the problem and try to solve it, if it doesn't work, they ask for help...nicely since the linux community (like me) are not paid to do so ...were happy to help that's all

So before you said idiot things like that (like always) remember that windows, mac and all other operating systems are not perfect and they do have their fair share of problems.
