So despite everything I think all these people have more than earned a massive THANK YOU and WELL DONE. I even think that they deserve to be called heroes. (Especially because the people that did all this probably had nothing to do with causing the disaster in the first place.)

They're heroes, every single fireman who ever lived is a hero, you're a hero, I'm a hero, everyone is fucking hero these days. I'll bet you think your maid is a hero for scraping your dried shit out of your toilet bowl!

Just out of curiousity, what sort of job experience, schooling, certification etc. would they be looking for for jobs at these data centers?

The ability to lift at least 40 lb., and an ability to tell a phillips screwdriver apart from a flathead.

Seriously. Working in the data center is all manual grunt work. The highly-skilled software work is done remotely by the companies that put servers in the data center.

Well most ignorant investors, well invest in talent. But honestly I think this is very intuitive... I have an MBA and decided that was not for me. (now a math / programming, but judge all you want idc) you nailed the business perspective my friend and well, I will still invest. But in the same sense, because I must be the devil's advocate: you can never know the market. Name a better place? Where else will you find talent on demand, I'm sure there is a place, but add infrastructure into the equation. Hey help me fellow slashers of info, is there really a better place for this to be situated, we need talent and little infrastructure investment? (the "we" is used loosely) I am not be arbitrary here, just asking for where would be better?

My god, your MBA completely destroyed your ability to speak clear English! You sound like *gasp* a manager!

The "alt universe" is basically what occurs AFTER Jack has died and is only shown during Season 6 so it can coincide with Jack's death and final resolve in the afterlife. Do you want a Season 7 of just an alt universe? Anyways, During this "alt universe", this is where Jack is trying to find closure and in the end everyone that gave any meaning to Jack's life is there to help him move on. Remember, the show has used many flash forwards before, the "alt universe" is a flash forward centered around Jack during his afterlife. But everything that occurred on the Island was when they were all living.

Wait, Jack Bauer dies? Thanks a lot! You've just ruined season 8 of 24 for me!

Actually, you're the racist, blindly assuming that the non-well-to-do in the GP's post are of a different race than the well-to-do. At no time did the GP specify race or skin color, and yet you're so blinded by your racial hatreds that you just automatically assume race is involved. For shame!
