This is OCZ we're talking about, as in reliability is a distant thought for them. If you're willing to gamble getting a 1 out of 8 chance of purchasing a drive that'll last at least a year for the sake of speed, then you'll do whatever you can to get it, which means going for OCZ. Anyone with a modicum of intelligence and an A+ cert or equivalent knowledge will know better to just grab a few reliable SSD drives from some other brand and run a RAID with em.

I'll also need you fill out this form and sign it, which states I'm permitted to view your medical records. Here's a pen and a clipboard, now go have a seat and after you're done and return them I'll get right with you as soon as I can verify the information.

This phone has been the closest thing I've been looking for towards a Palm Pilot replacement. Everything prior has been media-focused, but this is the first that appears to work wonders as a digital organizer, which has really been a long time coming since the Palm Pilot died. Now I just have to deal with the hefty price tag.

Comment Presentation is key (Score 1) 173

There's previous Kickstarter projects like this one that have failed to produce feasible support merely because of how it was presented. Even though it was evident they involved reputable people working at it, and to many people it'd appear that would be enough to garner it enough trust and reputation from the masses, but in reality it dropped because people were not given assurance just what they were putting money towards. With the DFA they kicked it off (no pun intended) with videos and other material providing solid evidence of what they wanted to accomplish and how. Planetary Annihilation was also exemplary at this, with an initial video that already demonstrated the art and gameplay direction they had for the game with a pre-rendered trailer of what they expect to create. Displays like this show an already existing dedication towards the goal before funding even comes in, which will encourage people to contribute towards it.

Elite may end up getting the funding it desires, but I wonder just how much more an impact they'll gain had they of started with an appropriate presentation. Unless it's a script for a movie, you don't go selling your project to any publisher with nothing more than a bunch of words and hype, and neither should you do the same to the public.

This sounds exactly like the kind of spiel a supervillian would give, prior to actually becoming a supervillian. Once he's rejected by his alumni and alma mater, he'll go through the necessary drastic measures to make sure something like this happens, just to prove he's right.

The gamepad isn't that big of a deal, for someone that has a family? Have you ever played a game with your kids and realized that finding a compromise for making the game as challenging for you and the kids is almost impossible? Watching some Nintendo Land games and the new Super Mario Bros. demonstrated that the additional gamepad can easily break down that barrier. The idea of having to keeping the kids alive in Super Mario Bros. by placing platforms under em can be very challenging in itself. Rayman Legends also comes to mind in this regard with being a helpful sprite, or doing the opposite and letting the kid be your helper. The concept of babysitting in a game is often an awful experience dealing with AI NPCs, but when it comes with doing the same thing for your own children, it's a blast. The Wii U just makes the whole capacity of being an administrator or dungeon master in a game all that more appealing and feasible.

You can cry about Nintendo losing its touch with the demographic it was aiming to please with the Wii, but giving me more power over how a game plays out for both me and the little fellas is exactly what I'm interested in. And look, I don't even have to sacrifice a player slot to do it; the kids can have their friend over and I can still be involved!

That's exactly why I use the extract sauces as a heat additive for meals just to give it a bit more kick, using very, very limited quantities - sometimes just dabbing the edge of the bottle to the meal and then stirring. It works great with large pots of soup or chili as there's those moments you like to just retain the flavor but it needs some umph to go with it. Extract sauces are great to accomplish that without tarnishing taste.
