Who's talking shit? You don't think the planet would be better off without a 7 billion person population. Cut that in half or a third, global warming solved. Would I be happy to lose friends and/or family no, but we're going to lose a whole lot more if we continue to grow as a species...

MacBook Pro, almost never do I turn it off.
Intel Nuc Ubuntu machine, yes when I am not using it.
Windows 10 Desktop, again when I am not using.

The later 2 have different purposes, they get used often, but not often enough that they need to be running.
MacBook is my primary computer so it almost never gets turned off, usually by accident me leaving something running that drains the battery like a netflix video.

Comment Re:were the downloads deleted? (Score 1) 326

If you read the article it states just that. You don't lose your movies that you downloaded, you lost the ability to stream the movies. This is why I have a 12TB drive RAID connected to a MacMini with all my iTunes content on it. Which reminds me I need to update that soon to bigger drives. That's going to be a big old bag of suck.

Rotten Tomato Scores suck, for both TV and Movies. There have been very many movies with high RT scores that were terrible, and just as many with low RT scores that were actually fairly good. The system is crap and instead when i want to know if a movie is any good I just ask if any friends on Facebook have seen it, and I can tell by their answer and who they are (ie things they like) whether or not to trust their opinion.
