I wonder if vinyl is better at preventing loudness creep. Bigger grooves seem like they'd hit a limit at some point.

That's great for identifying the non-minors. However, there's still the question of how to verify that the parent of the 14yo who's trying to sign up is actually the person saying it's okay.
It'll be interesting to see what mechanism they think the social media companies have for determining if the consent of the parent is actually coming from the parent.
That seems like it would be difficult, because the system has to be able to indicate to you how it counted your votes but in a way that you can't show it to someone else. It would have to involve something you know but that nobody else can prove is the _right_ thing you know, like a password but if you give the wrong password the system doesn't say "wrong password" it just shows a different set of results. So you can't prove to a third party that you're giving them the right password, they have to just take your word for it.
I seem to recall Bruce Schneier discussing such things but I don't remember if it was in a book or a blog.
Make sure it has a water source that's not already encumbered.
A big hunk of concrete has to be designed for some flexing; there is no use case where it won't get some amount of unbalanced stress. Bricks are small enough to not need to flex, but mortar isn't designed to handle quake shocks, and once it crumbles there's no strength left to the wall.
There's a reason that brick buildings are almost unheard of in Tokyo (the only one I saw was a train station that's kept that way for historic reasons)
but it does matter how many elements are in your universe
If you're honest and tell the truth but you can't prove it in court you may get smacked with a libel suit.
You're right; dark matter is literally a placeholder for "whatever's keeping those galaxies from falling apart". Everything else we think we know about it is things about how it has to behave in order to (a) keep those galaxies together and (b) not have been observed previously.
If he plans to drive a lot he should give them advance notice; insurance fraud is punished pretty harshly. But assuming nothing happens it's pretty typical to just update it again at renewal.
If he leaves it in the garage he should get his insurance adjusted for like 500 miles per year. (I assume it comes out _sometimes_ or he wouldn't need to register or insure it at all...)
Maybe they were looking at Geekmux's post, which got 2 "troll" mods
I'm not seeing how banning interior security cameras is going to prevent people from trying to hide cameras inside the house that were already breaking the existing rule.
Welp, you've just eliminated corporate CEOs too, so who do you think should be running the electrical supply?
Interesting; I didn't know there was special water. I just get gallon jugs of distilled water at the grocery store and use that (which does mean a stop on the way from the airport to the hotel but that's usually not an issue)
HELP!!!! I'm being held prisoner in /usr/games/lib!
