What legal requirement? Google doesn't have to release any of the Android source code because they chose the Apache license. The parts of Android under GPL like the kernel have been released. Also Google has a better track record of releasing source code than most companies so I think they have earned a bit of slack in this situation.

The reason phones use ARM chips is because ARM focused on providing low power consumption solutions. Intel/AMD basically ignored the mobile phone sector for a long time.

Google doesn't need to get into bed with cable companies. Not when they can slip in between the cable box and the TV (Logitech Revue) or directly into the the TV (Sony). I think about the only thing you can expect to see from this acquisition is a new Google TV device from Motorola. GoogleTV may not have taken off yet but I believe it is only a matter of time.

Annoys me when I get a unwanted chat message on Facebook. I want to completely disable the chat feature but there is no way that I know of. I can sign out of chat but that won't stop Facebook from automatically signing me back in later. The last thing I want is video chat requests popping up in my browser.. ugh

"Slow" and "Fast" are relative terms. What was "Fast" 2 weeks ago might not be so today. 10 terabytes of porn is still 10 terabytes of porn no matter what day it is.

Capcom's recent release of action platformer Maxsplosion for the iPhone caused indie developer Twisted Pixel to call Capcom out for copying the concept from their successful Xbox Live game 'Splosion Man. Twisted Pixel said they had no plans for legal action, since they were "too small to take on a company like Capcom." The indie studio had even pitched the game to Capcom for publishing at one point, but were declined. Now, Capcom has released a statement denying that Maxsplosion's development team had any knowledge of the meetings and saying, "MaXplosion was developed independently by Capcom Mobile. Nonetheless, we are saddened by this situation and hope to rebuild the trust of our fans and friends in the gaming community."

7" was chosen for the maximum size and weight that people can hold it easily with one hand for an extended period. Sounds like something the porn industry pushed for.
