Got Amazon Prime connected to your smart TV? Well now they have your credentials. I'll bet a lot of people would be rather uncomfortable with their shopping and browsing history on Amazon being available to a foreign state. Couple this with possibly similar intrusions on other devices, suddenly there is an uncomfortably complete picture of someones private life for grabs.
When the victims are politicians aides, statesmen, lawmakers etc, this blossoms into significant national security risk.

It's a lot more than viewing habits. They will have access to data / credentials of connected apps, such as Amazon, Netflix etc and login there, which contains a trove of personal data. This can easily be abused to put pressure on public figures or used in identity theft. It's also not inconceivable that this could also be used to backdoor into your network, which of course would be very very bad.

ARCHER is on a range of research projects, such as modelling weather patterns and biomedical data, simulating the Earth’s climate and designing new materials. But its role in supporting a number of different COVID-19 research projects might have proven a particular draw to hackers. “I am not sure if anyone can say for sure whether this is a targeted attack to either exfiltrate data relating to Covid-19 research or it was an attack to slow the progress of research into Covid-19 by state actors – or whether it was simply a ‘indiscriminate scan attack’ which happened upon the supercomputer,” says Kevin Curran, professor of cybersecurity at Ulster University.

As a developer with very strong, ADHD it's definitely a double edged sword but to me, a lot more of a disadvantage.
The advantages a wandering mind seems to bring, includes being more likely to consider the bigger picture on tasks/projects, see unconsidered risks and tend to find more novel or creative uses for things and unconventional approaches.
I'm consistently more productive at applying my knowledge to the tasks, however when acquiring new knowledge, which is probably the biggest part of my job, I fall very far behind.

Without ADHD medication, I am completely unable to read most documentation. I struggle with long sentences in emails and I miss much of what it said in meetings. The longer someone talks, the less I take in.
Peer reviews are particularly difficult for me, and I sometimes really struggle understanding undocumented or unclear code.
This is mitigated by the medication, it's not a brain pill that makes me smarter or gives me more concentration energy, it merely reduces these symptoms.

I call bullshit. I bought a replacement battery for my wife's iPhone 6 from iFixit. It was reasonably priced and it arrived in a couple of days. But don't just take my anecdotal evidence as proof of anything. How about a citation for this alleged blocking orders?

Wouldn't spinning 2 dense masses around each other be more effective? Like the moon around the earth? Or a binary star? Spinning a large mass isn't as important as the density of the mass. At least that's what I remember in my college kinematics class. I'm not a physicist.

ok.. let me get this straight.. we've gone from spinning two fat fucks hitched up to a pulley system to... two stupid fat fucks hitched to a pulley system! will it work now? :P
