Sorry, I didnâ(TM)t catch who youâ(TM)re saying will pocket the saving: you or the developer?
And Google or any other business out there isnâ(TM)t about the $$$?
Whose autumn are you talking about? Even in the northern hemisphere, that's a decent time range. "Fall" makes it North American autumn, which is clearer.
Of course, "fall" was a common English word for autumn, which fell out of favour sometime during the 17th or 18th centuries. You knew that, of course, didn't you?
Thatâ(TM)s it: describing everything youâ(TM)re doing. Totally against the grain for me. And reading: weâ(TM)ve always had tons of books and reading them to our son is prioritised, starting with making two books (of his choice) the minimum for the end of the bed time routine. BTW, heâ(TM)s now on 200+ days in a row of reading to us, which was something weâ(TM)ve been trying to get him going on for a long time. I love that he wants to read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to us in addition to his assigned school reader because he knows itâ(TM)s a year 3 reader (heâ(TM)s year 2).
Even when youâ(TM)re a bloke?
My wife had a thing about our son hearing a million words by the time he was one. Heâ(TM)s now seven, and people have been commenting for years about the breadth of his vocabulary, diction and ability to articulate. He also basically had no screen time until Covid and we were both in meetings at the same time. These days itâ(TM)s still very limited to a short period in the evening before bed, and occasionally (with headphones!) for only a small part of the time weâ(TM)re at the pub or a restaurant. Itâ(TM)s important to engage with children and actually have conversations with them, which count far more than words on the telly or YouTube.
iCloud Photos is the biggest user of my storage. This uses space without being part of the backup. Thatâ(TM)s quite inconvenient to move to another storage system.
I was in the US recently, and it seems downtowns are doing better than they did compared to when I lived in the US in the 90s. Times change, and people want to live downtown for many reasons. The current situation will also change, and I think people will continue to want to live there. Maybe it will have to get cheaper first, but that adjustment will happen.
What on earth has that got to do with being a millennial? Iâ(TM)m not a millennial, and nor will I be turning that feature off. I wonder what generation you are if you havenâ(TM)t figured out yet that 1) there are other characters that canâ(TM)t be rendered and the smart quotes toggle wonâ(TM)t affect thisâ¦, 2) thereâ(TM)s actually another way on an iPhone to enter "straight" quotes without turning this off, but I canâ(TM)t be arsed to do that, least of all for a pathetic whinger, and 3)
"Communityâ is often used as an informal and inclusive term for the EU. In fact, the European Communities were a legal thing before the European Union, and is also often interchanged with the singular form. I don't really see anything wrong the original post, and it certainly didn't deserve belittling. It seems the people who moderated you up are unfamiliar with the EU.
I remember when Microsoft last made a big fuss about reducing the number of reboot events: it was for Windows 2000, and they got it down to 50. You still had to reboot if you changed the machine name (WTF?), or just sneezed somewhere near it. And they still canâ(TM)t restore application state like macOS has done for years, making reboots that much more expensive and annoying.
Apparently you havenâ(TM)t figured yet that
And younger people in general are more interested in a sensible work/life balance than more money.
I think quite often that this is a symptom of something else. Itâ(TM)s not that younger people arenâ(TM)t interested in money but more that housing has become so expensive that they often canâ(TM)t afford or realistically afford it. In many cases, it doesnâ(TM)t matter how hard they work because it wonâ(TM)t make a difference, so why would they?
I donâ(TM)t know how you can teach logarithms without bringing this up. Sure she wasnâ(TM)t off school sick that day and thus wasnâ(TM)t aware that sheâ(TM)d missed this? Or perhaps she wasnâ(TM)t paying attention that day?
