If Trump really wanted to hurt Twitter he would just stop tweeting for a few weeks. Twitter would see their usage fall and then maybe both sides will have learned an important lesson that they need each other. It would be nice if Trump didn't habitually mislead people though.

No, it wouldn't affect Twitter at all. The media on the other hand wouldn't know what to do with themselves without being able to report on the stupid things Trump tweets.

How many of that 57% have young kids? I know my sister and brother-in-law have a hard time with their 6 and 4 year olds running around the house while they are trying to work from home. I sure more people would prefer working from home if their kids were still going to school.

They aren't even paying me for 40 hours. They reduced our pay 20% when we went into shutdown. That was supposed to be ending this week, but that was before they extended the shutdown to June. Oddly enough it doesn't seem like business has been hit that bad as we seem to still be hitting our forecasts in the updates I've seen.

They furloughed some people while cutting pay 20% for everyone else still working from home for 2 months. Didn't say anything about reduced hours, just reduced pay. A friend was cut to 30 hours, but seems to continue working 50. Luckily I don't have any projects or meaningful work to do right now. I'm just deemed a necessary employee for support purposes. So I can just appear available while watching TV and nobody really seems to care. Even if I ask for work it just seems to get dismissed. Keep taking vacation time just to stay under the accrual cap, but that just means I don't have to kick my mouse every 10 minutes that day.

Submission + - Ford introduces all electric cross over (electrek.co)

140Mandak262Jamuna writes: BEV fans are all excited about the introduction of an all electric CUV by Ford. Spec and pricing very similar to Tesla. Interior also is very similar with large touch screen.

Elon congratulates Ford CEO, Ford returns the compliments.

Die hard Tesla fans and saying Tesla is still better. Other BEV fans are nice welcoming Ford.

I, for one, welcome the more affordable all electric non compliance BEV (Ford's words, not mine).

Submission + - Google Gathers Personal Health Data on Millions of Americans (wsj.com)

walterbyrd writes: Google is engaged with one of the U.S.’s largest health-care systems on a project to collect and crunch the detailed personal-health information of millions of people across 21 states.

The initiative, code-named “Project Nightingale,” appears to be the biggest effort yet by a Silicon Valley giant to gain a toehold in the health-care industry through the handling of patients’ medical data.

The data involved in the initiative encompasses lab results, doctor diagnoses and hospitalization records, among other categories, and amounts to a complete health history, including patient names and dates of birth.
