With things like Facebook and Myspace, some teens might feel that Twitter is not enough. You are limited to 140 characters per post and you can't upload pictures and play games, so for the younger crowd it's a real turn off.
Not that I'm complaining, I like my Twitter and I use it frequently.
Yeah, it may make the iPhone obsolete, but I'm pretty sure carrying a small iPhone is much better than a 1.5 lb. wafer with a few added functions. And besides, the price tag is a bit high for just an iTouch with a bigger screen >_>
I had that problem when I started switching things over but now that I'm used to it I can recognize certain terms. In a sense, it not only helps you learn the language that we speak in everyday terms, but also the internet and computer lingo of a particular culture.
That's certainly true, but two of the language I am learning are supported so it helps me and I'm sure if anyone else is learning those languages then they'll find it useful to some extent.
I've also found it useful to change every interface that I use into the language that I'm learning. For instance, I've changed my PS3, iPod, and various websites into my desired language. For Asian languages it helps a lot with reading, and I've already increased my reading speed as a result. I would say it's a good supplement to a standard language course.
I've been using Firefox since 1.5 so it's been an integral part of my browsing experience. Let's just hope it isn't assimilated into the Chrome project.
I'm not sure what you mean by a performance loss on OS X. So far both are performing at or even above what they were on my Windows machine.
Maybe it's because I don't bog my browsers down with add-ons that aren't unnecessary.
We might see a decline in the purchase of Office suites in the next couple of years (or even months), seeing as how Chromium OS is on the horizon and Google loves making free applications.
