Because if you came up with that unique of an idea, and your choice is between financial security and altruism to the rest of mankind I don't care who you are your own ass, and those of your wife and children if you're that lucky, are going to rank above humanity's progress.

I do not miss having a cell phone, and now my decision feels super justified because I would have been interested in a data plan if I were going to continue having a cellular connection, but now that would be laughable decision.

I'm actually proud of myself for predicting the impending price gauging.

Is there any unlimited data plans left?

What I'm about to say is harder in practice than in theory, but it's the truth.

Don't take your situation for granted. You have to step outside your self and look at the situation objectively. Your life kicks ass, sir.

It's not going to hurt to print out a few resumes and float them around, since you're obviously being taken advantage of, but from where I'm sitting, I want taken advantage of... badly.

Why would they want to find that?

To genetically alter babies to not have drug addictions? So those who have it could know?

I would be deeply amused if this had the opposite intended effect, and caused people who know they have the drug abuse resistance gene to feel empowered in their ability to try drugs and make it out unscathed.

If this gene were discovered and put to use it would lessen the argument for drugs being illegal, as patients who aren't as susceptible to addiction would be better able to handle them for recreation. We couldn't have that could we?

I'm non-noobish enough to keep my computer clean for the most part, but most people's malware driven boxes I'd probably just end up formatting and reinstalling everyone's operating system and they'd be all like "I have a pile of useless crap I want to back up and no DVD burner or anything, you can't reformat."

I do appreciate how randomly out of the box the idea is though.

That the last part of that statement is practically treason, and the first part doesn't include felons (some of which can be non-violent in nature), and that now sectors both public and private institute policies that prevent carrying weapons onto their property, effectively meaning that in most places of importance only the criminally minded would have a gun.
