Comment Siemens Gigaset (Score 4, Informative) 405

I am using a Siemens Gigaset system along with a Siemens M34 USB dongle, which allows you to manage directory form your PC and Skype etc, but you have to do it via outlook, which is painful as well. Personally, I found google contacts to be the most useful across platforms that can be a feature for home telephone that can be further explored. There are later Gigaset phones that allow you to simply copy your sim contacts from your mobile phone to your home phone or batch send it via bluetooth, but I found Siemens phones are not very popular in the US, which it strange because I found Gigaset phones are far more superior in call clarity, os friendliness and have better industrial design and build quality, and runs on standard AAA batteries instead of those battery packs.

Comment UK has the best ! (Score 1) 1174

My credit goes to the UK, which has a fuse in the socket, also, the attached cable always facing downwards to save space, you can also buy ultra flat socket to make even more close to the wall, which really helps when you don't want leave a margin between your table/bed and the wall. Also, all wall socket in the UK has a safety switch which you turn-off before you plug / unplug, and it holds the plug much more tightly in comparison with the US plug.

Comment Can I just donate my bandwidth? (Score 1) 698

Sigh, I don't get this world anymore, you get people dying because of starvation and people paying for weight loss; now, you have people dying for a broadband connection and people being throttled using their bandwidth they paid for. Can I just donate my other 30% download and 50% upload I paid for to developing countries please!

Comment Product failure (Score 1, Redundant) 44

Nokia was quite insightful to discover the unique niche of mobile phone gaming market, which was suggested to be next hit of the gaming industry with the iPod Touch and iPhone as a gaming platform and further diversified gamers. However, the failure was foreseeable as well since N-Gage was not build on a solid foundation of users and the lack of support from the gaming industry. The hardware was also a big failure as well, you cannot make a phone call comfortably since you had to put a brick sideways to your ear; nor smooth running of a game due to hardware performance restrictionm but iI just can't stop wondering what would have happened if Nokia injected all those cash for N-Gage into its smart phone R&D...

Comment Not suprised (Score 1) 387

Not a total surprise since Australia facing a similar dilemma of low population density in their country and the cost for initial infrastructure, giving the track record of trying to filter the whole country's net traffic last year, I serious hope they wanna complete their project using us tax money~
