Comment Re:Who is the decision maker ? (Score 1) 503

International freedom of expression has no where near the protections that the 1st amendment offers. The first point allows others to decide what is inequality in the US. The second point is just censorship. The third is against the 1st amendment right off the bat and on top of that anytime the government (hell corps as well) tells/suggests that the media does anything it really rubs US citizens the wrong way. The forth and fifth points are like the 3rd and also completely vague.

Honestly if this laid out the rules and regs they would like to be implemented and they were very careful about stepping on freedom of expression I'd be all for it. But its current wording is just not enough and too open ended. Also in its current state you can tell this is just a reactionary not well thought out mess.

Well with Magic even from the start you didn't have to buy random packs to get the specific cards you wanted need to buy an unknown amount of packs to find the card. There was always trading with other people or buying the card from a shop. Wizards of the Coast doesn't have a monopoly on Magic cards because they are a physical item that can be traded or sold at will. I'd be willing to bet more money changes hands for private sales of single cards and collections then on new card packs each year.

As much as I hate Epic, just because they take advantage of people's impulse control, they also were smart enough not to make micro transactions mandatory in Fortnite. By making purchases completely optional by only having cosmetics, they avoided the ire of people who hate the pay2win model. Also it's not a market for lemons. People get the game free and no the money they put in is to only get digital clothes for their digital dolls. Its not Battlefront 2 with their lootbox system.

You didn't name any policies they have or how long. You also pick the easiest low hanging fruit to go to say socialism sucks. Also picking a country whose economy is ran on oil but also gets completely fucked by the US in any way it can be. What about universal healthcare in Canada? Or maybe free college like Germany? Oh you can't use those examples because they are first world countries actually doing well. Instead you pick a third world shit hole and go see its socialist and its shit so that means all of socialism is shit.
