Please, shoot yourself. 1 car length per 10mph? So at 80mph you're going to be 8 car lengths away from the closest car?

You're probably one of those idiots that thinks the law is immutable and unerring too, aren't you? Speed limits are generally arbitrarily placed to give the general impression the local government is trying to curb road related deaths, but in actual fact do very little to prevent deaths, and provide cause for frustration among drivers, leading to accidents.

I agree. I have been playing new vegas since release, and didn't think it was particularly all that buggy (compared to other bethesda games upon release). Then I realised how much I have used the console, especially for small things such as toggle clipping so that I can get out of a badly designed area, that any less experienced person wouldn't know about and would have to revert to a save from possibly ages back. Many bugs could easily have been spotted and fixed by hiring unemployed nerds like myself with a decent understanding of the engine (from a player/modder perspective) for minimum wage and letting us run riot.

What did the Romans ever do for us; they shouldn't get any days at all.

The Aqueduct?
And the Sanitation?
And the Roads?
Irrigation, Medicine, Education?
And the Wine?!
Public Baths!
Ok, but apart from sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh-water system and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us? You're right!

dammit, I can never get used to slashdot's lack of wysiwyg editing :/

This is very relevant, for me anyway. I used to buy maybe 1 or 2 games a year at a brick & mortar because I'd save my pennies and pay overpriced australian prices for it, $80 for a game. Now I have access to a credit card, I've bought more games than I can count (and have had time to play) on Steam for roughly the same budget.
