While I am agree to your comment, I am still amazed by the extent of Republican corruption this year. And yes, the DNC had their share too but it pales compared to whats going on now with the power structure on Republican side with the Healthcare bill, the budget and scandals etc!

If you think about it the root cause is mostly religion. Most recent Republicans have exploited religious leanings and gotten votes from rural America. They are just the best politicians money can buy right now. Dems are no better but generally their vote bank is a little more educated and conscious compared to the right.

A lot of folks even in important positions are geniunely scared of Trump. Yesterday there was an article on how no Repug senator will vote no on Devos because they dont want to face Trump. That could be the case here as well. By sidestepping Trump, Intel does not want to start a twitter war with him!
Most social websites will have a timestamp of when the post was made or edited. So, government trapping people by writing fake posts may not be a viable option. Or at least we know this, not sure if the bozos running the government do. I think they might even try!
