The ASA are actually one of the most capable regulatory bodies within the UK. I've been continually impressed by them demanding peer reviewed evidence from manufacturers to support their claims, and by the decent balance their provide when people complain about adverts that go against their morals/religion.

A few years ago I read that the average number of complaints to the ASA that lead to the advert people pulled was 1.3 . In other words they take every complaint on their merit rather than from public pressure. So if you think an advert violates one of the standards, there is a good chance you can get it pulled.

The badscience forum provides an excellent Activisim section that can help when constructing these complaints.

Without medication I can usually hold things to together for a couple of weeks, maybe even a month, but then things start to fall apart to a degree where I seem incapable of putting it back together. Getting medication in the UK has also been an absolute nightmare for me. As soon as I switch GPs the new one doesn't believe adult ADD exists and then will refuse to treat me for a while even though nice guidelines tell them they should. Quite a few of the GPs seem to have this idea that as soon as you turn 18 ADD always disappears. Now the local PCT is possibly refusing to fund any drugs, ugh.

And you didn't think for a second that the performance difference could have been because you installed cyanogenmod on it, an android distribution widely known for speeding up phones?
You deserve to be modded troll for being so misleading.

So you don't like googles feature of viewing pdfs in html? Personally I love not having to download the file and wait for the pdf viewer to instantiate itself. The main benefit being not having to worry about the latest pdf exploit ruining your day.

In astronomy what misconception would you class as most dangerous to the general publics understanding?
