Since human eyes can't do much with google maps' new look where street names have been mostly obscured as well as any details have been replaced by grey blur over a grey background AI can easily tell you any bullshit. Before you'll have zoomed in and out enough times to verify or realize that you've been had it will already come up with the next LML powered nonsense.
A so called two-faced (or split-brained) resolver. Nothing really uncommon. IIRC even had its own template zonefile and named.conf in in BIND9's offficial doc (and probably previous versioms), I think it even has it's own chapter in one of the official DNS-related RFCs.
Systemd might help but wildly installing apps without proper packet management sooner or later will fuck up your system by mismatching libraries anyway.
> What kind of fucked up form of English pronounces "spatial" and "special" identically? It isn't Commonwealth English or or US English. In both cases, the first vowel differs, and in Commonwealth English, "spatial" has the "i" and "a" pronounced distinctly while "special" doesn't.
Poor or just heavily accented English. Used by about 90% of the world's english speaking population.
Product design isn't exactly your domain, am I right? But that's all right, we have people enough who design more or less useful stuff - we need people who shoot at things too.
Sounds like the usual reddit reaction. I got my self banned for life from two subreddits for really hamless jokes. No, not "harmless jokes" about minorities or anyone specific, just some one-liners that went over the horizon of the powerdrunk idiots in charge who decided that anything they didn't really understand must be offensive and subject to the most drastic measures.
Two completely unimportant subs but actually I don't like reddit anymore. The sheer idea that complete idiots are holding absolute power was enough to ruin it for me.
Soundcloud used to do that. At least they demanded I'd change my password because the same email/password pair was listed in a different breach. They were right - shame on me.
Chrome used to have no master password (I believe it still doesn't) so all your credentials are known to Google who will use them to spy on you no matter what they'll tell you. And screw 2FA if Google's in the authentification chain...
Weakening Germany for an invasion by cutting a single pipeline? The usual way is heavy artillery fire for a couple of days and unlike the last time the Russians invaded, Berlin seems very much intact. I'd rather assume a somewfat aggressive marketing campaign by someone trying to sell their highly unpopular NLG.
> Although the reservoir is still nicknamed “Dirty 30”, it was officially rebranded in 2018 as the First Generation Magnox storage pond.
Found that for you - I hope you can, at least, read British.
A hedge-fonds billionaire is certainly the right person to teach a couple of university presidents some lessons about ethics, the limits of free expression, liberty of science and generally tell them how to do their job. He's a billiomaire after all.
that "traditional US approach to freedom of speech, especially in universities" (also known as the principle of liberty of science and research) is the actual concept of the university as an institution. At least that's what Charlemagne said when he founded the university of Bologna. Which was indeed the first one of it's kind. Fair to say that this concept already had a bit of a tradition before some Spanish sailors reached the "new world" instead off falling off the world's edge.
