How about using those 70k to buy something useful instead, like an education for your kids, or a heat pump for your house.

Big families where everyone buys a new car every 3 years was an unsustainable American habit and is now a thing of the past.
I'm in the UK and have no problem getting pseudoephedrine; you just have to ask for it at the pharmacy, and insist you want pseudoephedrine and not the "equivalent" phenylephrine.
Banks routinely have the worst password systems. One of my banks requires the password to be 6 digits, all numbers, no repetition or sequences allowed. It's inputted in a weird way, has to be done one digit at a time with a non-standard UI, no integration with password managers possible.
Other banks go out of their way to make sure you can't copy-paste and have to type the password yourself (usually twice, because that's more fun).
Finally many institutions after you've inputted your password require you to send a stupid code from a text or email, which is incidentally the same procedure as for resetting your password, rendering the whole thing entirely useless.
How long until those IDs are mandated to log in onto social networks?
If you're offended by the name of people who died before you were born then you should consult.
I find this interesting because usually it is the American species which are considered invasive and problematic.
A lot of various species in Europe were wiped out by their American equivalents (toads, squirrels, mosquitoes...)

If it was written in Vala it wouldn't even be mentioned.
Technology advances will make some jobs and even castes obsolete.
Before the printing press, people relied on monks to copy the written word. The biggest libraries in the world had less than a hundred books.
I won't even mention how people just died of benign illnesses or accidents before modern medicine.
Are you sure you want to go back to those times?
Women are the ones who refuse to use mixed bathrooms.
It's particularly ridiculous when you have a male-dominated office and there are two toilets for 30 people, but one of them is for women, and the single female employee refuses to share it with men.
Discrimination is evil; anything people can do to get rid of these events would be a net positive.
France has had 200mph trains throughout the country since the 80s.
I have studied the economics, and in all cases I see nuclear being more profitable than the next best option, natural gas.
The only problem is that it requires a very long-term investment to do so, longer than any private business would be willing to commit to.
15-20mph is faster than a bike, and bikes are typically used on regular streets just fine.
