>for example, using rubber parts (rubber degrades in about 10 years)
You'll find those are mostly plastic. Real rubber that hasn't been mixed with crap lasts for multiple decades. We used to have an old rubber power extension cord that lay outside in the sun and rain every day. Damn thing only lasted 40 years before it finally started breaking down. Until then it was as good as the day it was made.
How is Australia shafting the UK? I'm pretty sure they have only ever been good to the UK (Except cricket).
They are also one of the few countries left IN the Commonwealth. (As opposed to the UK who decided to leave the larger group they were part of).
Seems more and more like the UK was warned what would happen, and now they're upset because it did happen.
Google doesn't care about the sexual side. They just want to make sure all the transactions are done through the Play (see they even have the right name for it) Store, so they can take their 30%.
If Tiffany gets are new diamond necklace, then Google better get their tennis bracelet as well.
If Boris gets laid, then Google better get... yeah I don't want to finish that thought.
They've just worked out that they can sell up to 80% of an individual's visual field before inducing seizures.
So when are we taking bets for "Enterprise API" being depreciated?

Not sure why the article didn't want to name them, but it was Telstra. The largest of the telcos in Australia.
UI are gradually facing customers over to cloud services. The Dream Machine in particular can not be set up without an existing internet connection.
Even if you host your own controller, it forces you to use a cloud user account now. There has been a lot of backlash to this.
Google is the best company to do this. They have a proven track record of supporting their products for a very long time. I don't foresee them abandoning this particular project for many decades, which is the sort of time scale you need for things that take over such a large portion of peoples lives.
(Totally not satire)
Do you really want to create radioactive "poisonous spiders and snakes and frogs and bats and insects and assorted other creepy crawly things"?
I'm sure it will end well.
And now we know why Boston Dynamics kicked up such a stink about Spots Rampage, where they attached a paintball gun to one of these robots and let people control it.
They already have a third version. The web version. And they have the iOS and Android versions, so that's 5. Also the Windows ARM versions. So we're up to 6 now.
Very simple. The owner of the device wants to protect their data. Hint, the owner of the device is the company, not the employee.
Stick whatever tracking tools you want on the laptop you give me. I'll use it for work alone.
Try and stick those tools on my own devices, and I'll tell you somewhere else to stick them.
Dear MS, you can start by getting rid of your turd of an Electron app. Make Teams a lean and fast native app and you'll win back a lot of users.
