"Erotic Role Playing" would make more sense to me than "Enterprise Resource Planning" which is just a made-up buzzword. Erotic Role Playing Vendor might be like a porno shop, the same shops that already sell all your paraphernalia needs (bongs, pipes, boxes, etc..).

And what does this mean: 'there's no other product that is sold by weight that evaporates, dehydrates and [turns into] shake.'. Really, no other product? Medical Marijuana is the only plant-based product on the entire planet?

Where do you work? I have worked at a few major companies (former/current DJIA companies) and IT won't do anything they don't want to, and manager buy in doesn't mean squat cause they don't work for your manager. However, at those same companies, most of them provide a private users area to store files, and then the groups themselves have public shared folders, both on the network.

There is no funding problem. Too many people who don't need them are getting them, even if their brandnew HDTVs come with their own tuners (my fiancee's parents are guilty). Too many of the people who actually are getting the coupons AREN'T using them. That's right, they're just letting them expire. I heard somewhere its something like 60% of the coupons. As soon as they expire, there will be plenty of coupons for those on the waiting list. Problem is, they can only give out so much dollar-amount at a time. Now, if ALL the coupons had been used, then yes, allocate more money. We don't need more money just because people aren't using the coupons they're getting.

Ok, sorry, Apple didn't ever tell people NOT to install antivirus software. However, they do tell people it isn't necessary, which is just as dangerous.

And I quote: "'The Mac is designed with built-in technologies that provide protection against malicious software and security threats right out of the box,' the spokesman told the BBC."

Apple does deserve criticism because they encourage their users to NOT install Anti-Virus software. Anyone remember the numerous, unnecessary stories a few weeks ago about how some old, out of date page on Apple's website was recommending Antivirus software, and then Apple took it down?

Now, maybe antivirus software wouldn't have caught this particular virus, but to tell people not to protect themselves is just stupid. People will ALWAYS download virii, they're just that stupid. Apple should encourage their users to protect themselves, not tell their users that the OS is so secure it doesn't need Antivirus. Apple touts its self as being easy to learn and use, why would they think that gives them a user-base smart enough to not download pirated software that could possibly contain a virus?

If you really want to know, I use Emacs (free) and TextPad (not free). I use Textpad at work where they already have the license.

I had a teacher in highschool who used to write his code in Word or Wordpad. I don't know if he programmed that way or if it was just for his examples and lesson plans, but it was wierd. I heard that a couple years after I left, they got another teacher. He had them write their code in windows, but transfer it to a linux box (via floppy if I recall) and compile it using GCC. Apparently they never heard of DJGPP or MinGW or hell, Cygwin. But seriously, it was a much better class when I took it.
