Hey, if people get paid to hawk and peddle crap on the internet, why not to yell slogans?

In either case, you should not have too strong opinions about what crap you peddle or yell. There's a German proverb that would fit really well here: Whose bread I eat, those songs I sing.

And in this case, quite literally so.

Just so I know who to side with here, what marginalized group are we talking about? The Palestinians who get mowed down by the Israel army or the Jews that get blown to pieces by Hamas?

The tragedy in this whole farce is that the ones that could make peace don't want it and the ones that would want peace can't make it.

Predicting something that's constantly changing isn't easy, I hope that's not too hard to grasp.

Going by what we can observe, what even I can say is that the outlook isn't that good. Then again, I hope the planet will last another 30 years. I don't have no kids and my remaining life expectancy is about that many years, so ... why the fuck should I care?

If you're younger and/or have kids... you should.

We have the technology to wane us from the habit of fossils now. Yes, it is indeed possible to have civilization AND a habitable planet.

Actually, considering how humans react when resources (especially stuff like food and water) get scarce, I dare say having a habitable planet is a prerequisite for retaining civilization.

What key? Sibling languages, alternative alphabets, and unconventional word choices don't have a key. If they want to learn shorthand, they can take a course at the community college like everybody else.

I never said anything about hiding my phone. I DO routinely encrypt data going in and out of my phone and some of the data is encrypted at rest. Nothing nefarious there, it just means that I use WhatsApp, Signal, and a web browser. Also SSH.

I guess if they want to go on a fishing expedition, they're SOL. If they have an actual good reason to suspect me personally of a crime, I guess they'll have a look at the phone. It would be nice if we could rely on law enforcement to not go on fishing expeditions and on judges to not approve of them (given that they are against the law), but here we are.
