Do you know something I don't?
This probably means that someone else has the original. I wonder what they're thinking right now...
"$200,000 to $250,000"
The extra $50,000 gets you a window seat.
The guy says "It splashed!"
CNN says it "disappeared into the water".
Slashdot goes with "sinking into the water".
All I saw was that it was there and then it wasn't. Has anybody watched the video slowed down to try and make out exactly what happened?
It's obvious that the only way round this is to write weird music. I've got such a head start on this that I feel sorry for you guys!
The largest of them, named Dopey, claimed to have spotted more than any of the other scientists.
I can't believe that Jerome would have used the word 'periodical' (a magazine or newspaper published at regular intervals) in a context where the word should obviously be 'periodic' (appearing or occurring at intervals). He was too good a writer.
"The best I can do is tell you that if this explosion continued to occur over the 240 million years of the outburst -- which it probably didn't, but anyway -- it'd be like setting off 20 billion, billion megaton TNT explosions every thousandth of a second for the entire 240 million years."
Oh, I get it!

An antibiotic that uses artificial intelligence?! Wow! Will the wonders never cease?
At just after 2 a.m., it was 02:02:20 on 02/02/2020.
Nothing special about 02:02:20. Now if it had been 02:22:20 it would be a palindromic time as well as date.
Not so huge, if true.
Here in the UK, amitryptiline is often used to treat pain. And since it's also used as an anti-depressant, perhaps it could also lower the number of suicide attempts.
The first video I had a copyright claim on included a piece of music from a website that said I could use it without paying royalties. I chose to delete the video as I didn't have time to redo the music.
Second video, I used samples from GarageBand iOS. I had time, so I challenged it and won.
Third video, just recently, I used a piece of music that's made available by Apple for use in iMovie projects, assuming that I'd avoid copyright claims. I just don't have time to deal with this one.
After a while it starts to feel like a war of attrition. From now on I go back to using my own music. But I'll make it so bad that their algorithms run screaming from the room, trying to pull out the earbuds that I've fused to their skulls.
No man is an island if he's on at least one mailing list.
