Most people committing crimes do so under the assumption that they aren't caught. And from those who do take that into account, a large part don't care.

How do you take 1 million from somebody who has 200 USD in their name?

Most stalkers are low-lifers. If they had a million, they'd hide their doings behind a legal shell-company.

RCS will definitely be the standard to bring down iMessage.

Even though I'm in Europe and everybody and his dog uses WhatsApp, I just use SMS and iMessage.

At least, I don't get useless and time-wasting WhatsApps from equally useless wife of my brother, as my mother does.

WhatsApp should start charging money for people who send messages.

What could very well happen towards 2035 is that the ICE-infrastructure (gas-stations primarily, but also repair-shops etc.) has been scaled back significantly enough that it becomes a real hassle driving an ICE-car.

2035 is too soon for that. All those non-rich folk buying and driving those used ICE.

The problem is: there aren't that many used ICE being produced anymore - that amount is going to dwindle in the next couple of years.

Most money is in big, expensive cars - and those are being switched to EV as we speak.
The small cars are just a by-product. Additionally, higher emission standards are going to kill the smaller ICE cars even sooner.

It's certainly not a good development for people without the financial means to by an EV - no question about that.

Peak ICE was 2019 - we will not see the production-volume of ICE-cars ever increase to that level. As such, overall fuel-sales are also going to decline. You can guess how long the companies operating the gas-stations are going to keep those pumps around in the smaller places.

It's a disruptive change.

I do share the concerns for availability of raw-materials. There are definitively multiple problems there - but that does not mean there aren't similar problems in the ICE-world....

I know that SAP employed a large group of autists in their QA department because, when sufficiently trained and with the right working environment, these people can absolutely smoke a âznormalâoe person in that department.

As such, I wouldnâ(TM)t call it an advantage - but a unique talent.

Just hold Amazon, Ebay and Facebook accountable for those sales.

AFAIK, Apple has struck a deal with Amazon and Amazon basically made it next to impossible to list any Apple gear for anybody else but Apple. Especially fake chargers and cables were a big problem.

So, Amazon can do this, they just need to be correctly "incentivized".

They could wipe COVIND "conspiracy theories" from Facebook, surely Facebook can remove this stuff, too. They just don't want to, because they get a cut.

Autopilot has no navigation features. It can hold the lane and avoid crashing into stuff. It will happily drive right by the exit the hospital, much less deliver you to the ER.

This story is less than truthful.

Maybe they run FSD beta - but that would require looking in front almost constantly as the camera is watching the driver like an angry mother-in-law.

But FSD has NoA and if it was on the freeway, it could work (while on the freeway, not on city streets).

And that thinking is precisely why America has the dubious ranking of #1 in infant mortality. A rate double that of the Netherlands which is the home birth capital of the world, and a place where even the Dutch realise that even when not in hospital you still get professional assistance. Ironically you only care about life while it's in the womb, clearly as soon as the water broke you don't give a flying fuck about bubba or mommy.

This may more have to do with the fact that giving birth to a baby (and all the pre-natal checkups) are quite expensive in the US (vs. most of the rest of the world) and thus poor people may skip those.

AFAIK infant mortality is a bit more complex than just X number of babies/mothers not making it through the first year.

There are many variables a society may choose to adjust (or not).
