I had this same thought, immediately followed by a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. Please, no!
The Breathing Resistance Device Manufacturer's Association?
No, maybe it doesn't. But your Roomba vacuum cleaner does! If not photos, all sorts of info about your home. Look into it.
And guess who just bought Roomba...
Who thought it was acceptable to allow Amazon to buy MGM? This is just getting out of control...
I love books, actual physical books. I love creamy paper, and beautiful black ink. I love fonts, and book design. I love the smell of 'em. I worked in an old-school independent bookstore for several years, back in the 1970's when the publishing industry was, um, different - vibrant and exciting. I have hundreds of books around here. But... most of them I simply couldn't read anymore due to medical conditions affecting my eyes, and I was sad.
Until a couple of years ago, when a few of my nieces and nephews got thoroughly tired of me whining about how I couldn't read anymore, and bought me a nice Kindle. I could dial up the font size any which way, and I could read! The e-ink is wonderful compared to a typical screen.
As they said in the note with the gift... "reading is life".

I am simply gobsmacked that someone would entrust their magnum opus to the f**king cloud, in any country, much less China.
I wonder what got the attention of the censors.
What are you blithering about?
FFS, don't call it 'stellar DNA'. Pop science headlines are generally suckful deceitful clickbait, but this is an absurd analogy.
Not just the promise of riches. It's the promise of something for nothing. Get in on the ground floor! Get rich quick!
... are soon parted.
We live in a consumer society that celebrates... consuming! And so this shit gains traction, like payday loans and usurious credit card interest, etc.
But that's the new American way - the omnipresent hustling and scamming, and the dream of something for nothing. What a combination!
The point isn't 'insightful commentary'. It's 'page views'. Like any other monetized website.
You can do that now in Taskbar Settings.
The funny thing is, that the #1 feature request on the Windows 11 Feedback app has been... the ability to move the taskbar to the side. And it's the #1 upvoted feature request, by a large margin. So this MS spokestoad is full of it, or to put it bluntly, flat out lying.
Since it is impossible to move the Win11 taskbar to the side, how in the heck can telemetry have anything to say about it?
TFA did not say whether you would be able to simply swithch to a local account after installation. Currently, this is trivially easy to do in Settings. I don't see where it says you will have to log in with a MS acct for basic functionality, just for installation. I mean, that sucks bad enough, but if you can switch to a local acct afterwards, not as bad as it's being made out to be.
Whatever you say, Lizzie.
