But the client is horrible! Makes my head hurt and every sense of good UI design cringe! I have used nothing worse than the notes/domino client that I use at work. I would rather use hotmail (and thats not saying anything nice about hotmail)! There are so much basic functionality that works badly. Just remembering what emails are read/unread is hard for it when you have multiple servers.

Submission + - Moneybookers: Send us your DNA or else (no_related_url.com) 1

ccguy writes: A few days ago I got an email from moneybookers (supposedly a good alternative to paypal) regarding my account: They want me to send them full color copies of my ID, as well as other documents, for my security. Given that you can open bank accounts, requests loans and access lots of private data with the information they asked for, I asked them to just terminate my account and send my balance (around 400 euros) to my bank account. They replied 3 days later saying that they are sorry to see me go, and that they would terminate my account as soon as they get the documents they asked. So basically, they're robbing me 400 euros. Now, I'm not going to let them get away with this. Without spending lots of money in lawyers, what would be the most efficient way to make them reconsider? Is there a place in the European Union that a lawyerless citizen cand send a formal complaint about this kind of abuse?

Sony Joins the Offensive Against Pre-Owned Games 461

BanjoTed writes "In a move to counter sales of pre-owned games, EA recently revealed DLC perks for those who buy new copies of Mass Effect 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Now, PlayStation platform holder Sony has jumped on the bandwagon with similar plans for the PSP's SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3. '[Players] will need to register their game online before they are able to access the multiplayer component of the title. UMD copies will use a redeemable code while the digital version will authenticate automatically in the background. Furthermore ... anyone buying a pre-owned copy of the game will be forced to cough up $20 to obtain a code to play online."

How To Play HD Video On a Netbook 205

Barence writes with some news to interest those with netbooks running Windows: "Netbooks aren't famed for their high-definition video playing prowess, but if you've got about $10 and a few minutes going spare, there is a way to enjoy high-definition trailers and videos on your Atom-powered portable. You need three things: a copy of Media Player Classic Home Cinema, CoreCodec's CoreAVC codec, and some HD videos encoded in AVC or h.264 formats. This blog takes you through the process."

nasty, apart from the hospital bill (which dont exist around here) I can pay all those online (most likely I will use my online banking solution to set it up so that they are payed automatically, the bank recieves the bill electronically and processes it). Doesn't matter if I am in the stick or not, but then I am not in the US and wonder if there are places that can compare to the "sticks" in the us, I dont think its possible to be more than 2 hours by car away from a largish city.
