I think you are confusing this with being a tetrachromat (the opposite of being color blind), that is a trait that only women can. However; being a tetrachromat does not allow you to see a greater range of frequency (like into UV or IR) it just lets the normal range of colors be detected with a greater granularity.

My current PC, with optimized 4th gen SSD on an SATA3 controller and windows 7, boots in 20sec. That is from pushing the power button to having a totaly usable machine. I am very happy with it and honestly don't think I would care if it was an faster. I push the button before I sit down and by the time I am seated and have my monitors turned on, it's ready.

How much further would you take it - if the next generation of Windows required to be on line would it be fair to remove their computers?

Even Microsoft can't just come around and remove your computer. If they wanted to forego sales to people who don't have internet though then there would be nothing wrong with that; you'd just have to use a different OS.

Yes, you would need to use a differant OS, or in this case play a differant game. That is the point of the above coment. You would not buy an operation system that would not let you use your computer when not online, why should you fork out your cash for a game that behaves like that.

Submission + - Senators taking sides in AT&T/T Mobile merger (reuters.com)

Sniper98G writes: "US senators have no official power to block the AT&T/T Mobile merger. But that has not stopped them from making strong recommendations to the FCC and the department of justice. This whole situation has left me asking "If the US senate and house are so concerned about a Triploy in wireless communication, where are the hearings about why most US household only have access to one or two wired communication providers?""

What does perjury or court have to do with it? This was an unreleased document, I didn't see anything about this being used in court. If you're going to use legal terms that don't apply, why not say this would be treason (if music piracy, it's effects, and this report were a matter of national security.)

I believe what was trying to be said here, is that in a place where they have strict rules about what constitutes a lie (A court of law) this would qualify.

True, and companies have the right and motivation to try and make money anyway they can. However, when you are providing a service and you do not listen to the input of those people who subscribe to your service you will end up "drying the cow up" as the people who have been giving you their money suddenly stop.

Without knowing any of the details of the study (Witch the study maker would not disclose). This is completely meaningless. For all we know, of the 600,000 calls only 7 were for android an only one of those for hardware problems.

I'm sure that this is not the case but unless we can see some hard data there is no way to determine the real hardware problem rate of these devices.
