Comment I'll be "working" (Score 1) 231

I chose "I'm employed at a store, please don't yell at me", although I don't work at a retail store.

I run a coupon site for hosting and domain names, and Black Friday / Cyber Monday are very busy days for me. I'll be pretty much working those 2 days around the clock updating coupons and sales deals.

Last year I snuck out for a couple hours to Best Buy and got a great deal on a TV, but we don't need anything this year so I'll be doing my own shopping online.

All of the 4 letter .com domains have been registered. They expire and drop sometimes, and people grab them from places like SnapNames and NameJet. There's also an aftermarket where you can find the less desirable combinations for about $25-$100.

There are plenty of 4 letter .net and .org domains that aren't registered yet, and they can be had for the price of registration at your favorite registrar.

It's not against the law to flip off a cop:

U.S. District Judge David S. Cercone ruled David Hackbart exercised his constitution right to free speech in 2006 when he angrily displayed his middle finger to another driver during a parking dispute in Squirrel Hill and when he displayed the same gesture to Officer Brian Elledge, who told Hackbart to stop.

“The United States Supreme Court has long recognized that non-verbal gestures and symbols may be entitled to First Amendment protection,” Cercone wrote in his 19-page opinion and order filed Monday. “Moreover, several courts, including federal and state courts in Pennsylvania, have found that the expressive use of the middle finger is protected speech under the First Amendment.”
