Has anyone else noticed that there has been a lack of moderation points for the last week or so?

All of the stories I've clicked on for the last few days have dozens and tens of dozens of comments, all bunched up around 0 and 1 point. A handful of 2's, and no comments moderated to 3, 4 or 5.

What is going on? It seems like the Slashdot algorithm for distributing moderation points has stalled.

How do you spot a 10cm tsunami? How does it look different than regular waves coming in & out?

I'm wondering if they're just looking for a favourable way to differentiate themselves from Apple.

Seriously, you cannot even INSTALL a different browser on iOS devices because any other "browser" you install is actually just a UI on top of Safari. And if you happen to use any of those other "browsers" Apple disables some modern APIs.

I'm no fan of Facebook, but couldn't this be said of just about any social media? Instagram, Twitter, even Slashdot?

How about absolute ground-floor features like consistently accessing scoped variables or accurately calculating the available veiwport? (which is something you often want to do with a small screen) If the richest computer manufacturer in the world doesn't want to build working Javascript or CSS engines they could at least take advantage of the open source projects that do work.

I thought air travel was linked to heart attacks due to blood clots, not jet lag.
