AOL did it with images back in the days of dial-up. I was confused by the low quality pictures the first time I saw it while visiting relatives.

Played fine in Chrome (On windows). It appears to be HTML5 video.
Carmack mentioned using some Microsoft technology for the texture compression. That might give them some problems.
Too bad the mobile browser on Android doesn't sync with those bookmarks. Mobile Firefox does sync with desktop Firefox.
It may not be prominent, but it is there.
I look around occasional for custom roms for the Droid 2 Global and have been unable to find any. Can you provide a link to the one you are using? I too am no fan of blur.
All of the battery issues I have had with my Droid 2 Global have come from Motorola bundled functionality. Their modified Exchange client had some nice features, but was a battery hog. I nearly doubled my battery life by installing Touchdown. Something they did causes the phone to run the GPS almost continuously. My original DROID did not do this with the same set of apps installed. It attributes the time to the Maps app, but from what I've read, that is only because some other app is using the location service from the Maps app.
It took it a minute to boot, but it workes in Firefox on my Droid 2 Global.
Google Chrome and Disconnect.
Problem solved
Mine did this too, but it was getting glitchy with the stock firmware. I now run Tomato on a Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 and have been very happy with its stability.
Someone else posted a link to the bug report on this. It looks like the feature was disabled at the end of January. Why are you still so angry about it? It appears they have taken all the previous complaints into account for this new release.
Maybe, but it is the only place I can think of as a centralized location to store system and application settings in Linux.
