Is a neural net really needed for this. The instabilities are almost certainly periodic.

Yet another idiot.
Do you honestly think that your little mental games of "liberal" or "conservative" have the slightest impact on the solution of any real world problems?
Until it can output some sort of semantic metalanguage that can be consumed by rule based systems that can be used for iterative self correction to > 99% correctness confidence, or it can somehow be rigged to learn by trial and error, it will still be a genius with a lobotomy, spitting out statistically weighted behavioral data in a single pass. That's good enough for lots of minor everyday uses, but it's really not an effective intelligence appliance that you could use to do original research or use for any mission critical, real world application.
With enough data, we could make an AI that would be on an eternal acid trip, inspired by the internet.
But that would be cruel, wouldn't it?
Hunt for a population of fish or other food sources that could sustain a breeding population of large whale sized animals in a small cold, highland lake.
Bonus points for explaining why nobody has spotted baby nessies.
I'll be happy to provide them with a list. I'll send it to the local prosecuting authorities for good measure.
> Gemini will go beyond that, combining the text capabilities of LLMs like GPT-4 with the ability to create AI images based on a text description
But they won't:
1) Reduce hallucinations
2) Implement iterative, self-correcting rule based reasoning in a neural net architecture to train the Chatbot piece.
Looks like management has already prepped this to be a disappointment.
As grateful employees everywhere realized they would no longer be forced to use that piece of shit.
So typically Verizon. Probably chosen by MBA managers instead of the development staff who would have laughed it out of consideration in 5 minutes.
Not another one of those "new energy source discovered!" stories that fail to mention anything that matters like cost, scalability, efficiency, cost of implementation, etc.
Eventually. For a hefty sum.
Wow, you haven't done a lot of research here, have you?

Illegal drug prices increase by 3% on average for a couple of weeks.
Correct in this case, unfortunately. The consequences of falling behind the AI race with Chins would be immediate and devastating. This is completely predictable.
The consequences of advanced AI is unpredictable.
100% certainty of aggressive domination by the Chinese vs unknown certainty of problems with an AI where we can pull the plug.
Gonna go with something I can kill by pulling a plug on that one.
Everyone assumes these things are intelligent. From the behaviors I've seen in the reports, all they seem do is move together, dart away suddenly and hang around areas of activity as if curious.
My guppies do that.
These things may be aliens, and may have evolved in space with the ability to move without propellants, but I see no evidence of intelligence whatsoever.
Many crazy missteps are going to happen with AI. When the dust settles, the Chinese will copy the result with all the safeguards in place and then some.
