That is a very extreme position. You judging billions of people as worthless based on the actions of dozens of them.

You would make it even harder for the citizens of those countries to access a diversity of viewpoints, as retaliation for a government funded news site posting covid misinformation.

By the Way, in Australia Murdock owned Sky News was suspended for the same thing, should News Corp be cut off from the internet as well ?

There should be a law that obligates companies to ensure firmware can operate in a fit-for-purpose manner for the lifetime of the physical device.

If firmware because faulty, the obligation should be on the manufacturer to provide repairs, or the means to repair the device.

Similar to car air-bag recalls in recent years, or other physical goods that are assumed safe.

And even if it could determine an actual human (not a bot or relay) was using a specific computer, how do they determine the nationality of that individual as opposed to the country they reside in.

Law enforcement are stupid idiots unfortunately.

Transmission lines can, in effect 'time shift' solar generation so electricity generated from solar is used after the sun goes down.

Example could be connecting the West coast of Australia to the East cost grid, which is a 3h time difference, so strong solar levels from the West coast available on the east coast in the evening.

A similar thing could be done between Australian and NZ.

There will be other significant costs.

It will be a useful addition to internet accessibility, but there is no long term advantage in providing services for fixed locations via satellite, other than redundancy to backhaul interruptions.

Nobody has ever come up with a satisfactory explained of how these "experts" determine the nationality of a person typing on a keyboard.

At best they can track it to a physical location of the source, but even then they would need to have a way to break TOR.

Its all guess work beyond the network stack.

Its obvious misinformation.
